What is QuaverPE?

A K-5 physical education curriculum built around Oregon’s 2025 PE content standards. 216 lessons across 12 units give Oregon educators plans, demonstrations, and active games that build skill and confidence through movement.

  • Use the space you have. Lead activities in the gym, a cafeteria, a classroom, or outside.
  • Start with a plan. Use prepared lessons and customize them for your students.
  • Support Oregon's PE priorities. Build motor skills and explore movement and fitness concepts emphasized in Oregon's 2025 standards.
  • Make instruction accessible in two languages. Teach with lessons and resources in English and Spanish.
  • See how students progress. Use ready-made rubrics to assess physical skills.

Teacher‑led PE,
not device‑led PE

Oregon asks for 150 minutes of physical education a week in K‑5, and at least half of it has to be actual physical activity. A program that keeps students sitting and watching makes that math harder. QuaverPE puts the movement first and the media in a supporting role.

Inside a QuaverPE lesson

Every lesson follows a consistent, research-backed structure so teachers can teach with confidence and students know what to expect. Each ready-to-teach lesson is also fully customizable.

  1. Warmups

Get bodies and brains ready to learn with music and movement.

  2. Skill Instruction

Show students how to perform each skill through clear demonstrations.

  3. Guided Practice

Help students practice each skill with structured movement activities.

  4. Gameplay

Put developing skills into action through games that keep students moving.

  5. Cool Down

Help students stretch, breathe calmly, and reflect on what they learned.

QuaverPE lessons cover all four Oregon domains

  • DM1 Motor Skills
  • AMF Movement and Fitness
  • SSM Social Skills through Movement
  • PSR Personal Skills

Built to SHAPE America's national standards, which Oregon's standards align to.

Consider QuaverPE district-wide

Oregon districts report PE minutes to the state every year, by grade level, for every student. Being on an approved list means a program cleared the bar. It does not tell you whether every building is delivering the instruction you are reporting.

  • One progression across every school

  • Coverage survives an unfilled position

  • Assessment that travels

  • Data privacy handled

“Lesson planning is so easy with Quaver. The language for learning objectives is provided. I don’t have to search for videos and figure out what verbiage to use. Quaver has it all ready-to-go for me.”

Mayra T. Physical Education Teacher Dallas ISD

“Before Quaver, it was a challenge finding good material, and I had to visit various websites to find material. It is much smoother having everything I need in one place, and it's easy to find what I'm looking for.”

James R. Physical Education Teacher Beaumont ISD, TX

“I really love the fact that I can create and customize my own lessons, for every single grade level. This allows me to reach all of my students exactly where they are, and it changes the way I am able to teach.”

Stacy P. Physical Education Teacher Allen, TX

“Students learn much quicker and can recall the steps needed to complete the PE skills.”

Mayra T. Physical Education Teacher Dallas ISD

“The lessons are designed to encourage and promote movement and motion, and I can adapt the lessons just beautifully so that they work in my gym! They love ‘Hot Potato,’ for example, so we’ll toss the beanbag back and forth or jump from hula hoop to hula hoop, and it works just beautifully!”
