Music Madness is a bracket-style tournament where various songs representing the four corners of the world will compete each week from February 23 to April 13! Students will vote for the songs they’d like to see in the next round. This is a great opportunity for students to analyze music and think critically.

How to Participate:
From your Teacher Dashboard, go to New Content to find this year’s audio playlist with all 16 songs, printable worksheets, and the original bracket.

You can also search “Quaver’s Music Madness” in Resource Manager to find these materials if you’d like to build a custom lesson or assignment.
We recommend teachers dedicate class time for students to listen to the songs and analyze the contenders with the provided worksheets below.

Students can then come to this page to vote on their favorites. Students can use their personal devices to submit individual votes or teachers can submit votes on behalf of a class.
At the end of each round, we’ll announce which songs will move onto the next round on this page and on the QuaverEd Facebook page. We’ll also provide an updated bracket and the next round’s voting form.

We know school schedules vary so we provide the resources for you to implement Music Madness in a way that works best for you and your students. Many teachers will print the bracket on a poster and display it in their classroom. As the tournament progresses, he or she will update the bracket based on how the Quaver Community votes. We will provide the results and updated brackets on this page at the end of each round.

My students absolutely LOVE Music Madness! I have my students fill out the bracket themselves before voting starts with their predictions for which songs will win. I keep track, and the students who have the most accurate brackets when the results are in receive a prize! This is something my students look forward to all year.”
