Alyson Humphrey Smith
My name is Alyson Humphrey Smith, and I am the music teacher at A.C. Steere Elementary School in Shreveport, Louisiana, where I teach pre-K–5 general music and choir. I am in my 12th year of teaching music and my 7th year of using QuaverMusic. I absolutely love that I get to spend my days making music, but when I’m not teaching, I enjoy reading, sewing, and spending time with my family!

Amy Heleena Maddox is a dedicated music educator with experience teaching elementary, middle and high school students. In addition to her work in the classroom, she remains an active performer with her church, community theater and opera, bringing real-world musical experience into her teaching.

Denise Thomas
Denise Thomas is beginning her 31st year as an elementary music educator. She holds a bachelor’s degree from Westminster Choir College and a master’s degree from Clemson University, with certifications in Orff Schulwerk and Kodály. She has served as lead elementary music teacher for Greenville County Schools since 2018 and as past president of both the SCMEA Elementary Division and the SC Foothills Chapter of AOSA.
Ebony Miranda
Ebony Miranda has been a school counselor with Osceola County School District in Florida for 7 years. She integrates creative, evidence-based practices including partnering with her therapy dog, Finn, to support student growth. She is also the founder of Miranda Family Consulting, supporting families and schools in building healthy environments.

I have taught music in North Carolina for 23 years. QuaverMusic has been a part of my classroom since 2014—bringing fun, engaging, and quality resources to students. I am grateful to work with such an amazing, cutting-edge educational company!

Katherine Bay
Katie has been teaching music for 23 years. For the past four years, she has been teaching in Fort Worth, using Quaver for the last three. Katie especially values the flexibility Quaver offers, and the wide variety of adaptable activities that accompany each song.
Laurie Wohl
Laurie Wohl, music teacher at the Florida School for the Deaf and the Blind (FSDB), earned her B.S. in music education from Indiana University of Pennsylvania and her M.S. in visual disabilities studies from Florida State University. Her leadership in show choir, chorus, piano, and elementary music, combined with her work in theater and accessibility, recently earned FSDB the prestigious Audio Description Project award.
Mariann Fox
Mariann will begin her 34th year as a music educator, having taught the last 14 years in the elementary grades for the Mt. Lebanon School District outside of Pittsburgh, PA. She has also served as the supervisor of fine arts and health and physical education. Mariann has been using QuaverEd resources since they were a box set of DVDs and has enjoyed seeing them develop into the full curriculum they are today!

Robin Wacha is a traveling elementary health teacher with 28 years of experience and dual master’s degrees in elementary education and instructional technology. Passionate about helping others reach their full potential, she inspires students to embrace health, confidence, and lifelong learning.
