Originally from Pennsylvania, Katie has been teaching for music for 23 years, including 19 years dedicated to elementary music education in Texas. For the past four years, she has been teaching in Fort Worth and using Quaver for the last three. Katie especially values the flexibility Quaver offers—particularly the wide variety of activities that accompany each song and how easily the lessons can be adapted to support all learners.

Hi! My name is Bridget Burgess and I am in my 19th year of teaching Elementary Music in Spartanburg, SC. I hold a BA in Vocal Performance and M.M. in Music Education. When I am not teaching my wonderful elementary children, I can be found at the high school in the role of Vocal Director for our theater musicals! I really love that I get to make music all day and every day!
I teach general music (K-2) in Warner Robins, Georgia, and I have been teaching for five years. I have used Quaver Music since I began my teaching career. I love what it has done for my school and how it has helped my growth as an educator. I play three instruments: the piano, baritone, and the trombone.
Greetings from California! I am an elementary classroom music teacher, a beginning band director, and a flute instructor at a local community college. I became a QuaverMusic teacher in 2016, and my students and I have enjoyed every minute of it. My teaching journey began in 1988, and after many years of experience, I can confidently say that QuaverEd is the best in the educational world.
Denise Thomas is beginning her 31st year as an Elementary Music Educator. She holds a bachelor’s degree from Westminster Choir College and a master’s degree from Clemson University, with certifications in Orff Schulwerk and Kodály Level I. A dedicated leader, she has served as Lead Elementary Music Teacher for Greenville County Schools since 2018, and as Past President of both the SCMEA Elementary Division and the SC Foothills Chapter of AOSA.
Laurie Wohl, Music Teacher at the Florida School for the Deaf and the Blind (FSDB) in St. Augustine, Florida, earned her B.S. in Music Education—majoring in French Horn and minoring in Piano—from Indiana University of Pennsylvania, and her M.S. in Visual Disabilities Studies at Florida State University. Her leadership in integrating show choir, chorus, piano, and elementary music, combined with her innovative work in theater and accessibility, recently earned FSDB the prestigious Audio Description Project award from the American Council of the Blind. Passionate about inclusive performance, Laurie empowers sensory‑diverse learners through creative expression in music and theatre.
My name is Alyson Humphrey Smith and I am the music teacher at A.C. Steere Elementary School in Shreveport, Louisiana, where I teach PreK-5th grade General Music and Choir. I am in my 12th year of teaching music and my 7th year of using QuaverMusic. I absolutely love that I get to spend my days making music, but when I’m not teaching, I enjoy reading, sewing, and spending time with my family!
Alex has been teaching elementary general music in Racine, WI for 13 years and using Quaver for most of them (as far back as when Quaver was only a box set of DVD’s!). He loves the interactive and engaging nature of Quaver and having the ability to creatively customize his lessons to fit the needs and interests of his students. When he’s not teaching he loves traveling, spending time outdoors with family and playing rhythm guitar in a ska band! He is grateful to be a part of the Quaver community!
I’m Alicia Anderle, a PreK-8th grade music teacher at Twin Rivers in Southeast Missouri. This is my 11th year of teaching, and 10th using Quaver. I am passionate about helping students discover the joy of music, and exploring how it connects to their lives in meaningful ways. I love the customizability of Quaver Music resources, which allows me to tailor lessons to meet their unique needs, learning styles, and interests. I’ve studied at the Kodaly institute in Hungary, and enjoy using Quaver’s flexible tools to bring that foundation to life in my classroom.
Mariann will begin her 34th year as a music educator, having taught the last 14 years in elementary grades 1 – 5 for the Mt. Lebanon School District outside of Pittsburgh, PA. She also served as the district’s Supervisor of Fine Arts and Health & Physical Education for 11 years. Mariann has been using the Quaver resources since they were a box of DVD’s and has enjoyed seeing them develop into the full curriculum resource it is today!

Ebony Miranda has been a school counselor with the School District of Osceola County for 7 years.She integrates creative, evidence-based practices into her work including partnering with her therapy dog, Finn, to support student growth and connection. Ebony is also the founder of Miranda Family Consulting, where she supports families and schools in building emotionally healthy environments.
Meticia Jackson is an award-winning Health and Physical Education teacher, honored as Teacher of the Year for her innovative approach to student wellness.
