Distance Teaching Closer than Ever!

Whatever school looks like this year, we want you to know that we are here for you.

That’s why we’re releasing another set of updates, all aimed at supporting distance teaching.

Read on to learn what’s new:

QuaverMusic

Easy Resource Sharing for Your Virtual Classroom

It’s never been easier to send Quaver resources to your students! You can now generate a unique link to any single resource from Resource Manager or a Quaver lesson. Whether you are using Google Classroom, SeeSaw, or any other platform, simply generate and link to any single Quaver resource to support easy at-home access, no login required.

From Resource Manager:

Select a resource from a folder or in the preview window that appears when a resource is selected.

In both places, select MENU and click GET LINK. Present the code for students to scan, select the text to copy, or click COPY RESOURCE LINK to automatically copy the link.

You can then paste that link on any platform that works for you — good for 45 days!

From a Quaver lesson:

From any screen in a Quaver lesson, select MENU and LINK. Present the code for students to scan, select the text to copy, or click COPY RESOURCE LINK to automatically copy the link.

You can then paste that link on any platform that works for you — good for 45 days!

Video Instructions for Every Screen

As of July 2020, you can add video instructions to any student assignment. Now, add video notes to any custom lesson!

Video notes are now editable in Resource Manager and can be viewed when added to a lesson by clicking MENU and VIDEO. If text notes aren’t an option for your students, consider this flexible new tool!

If you’ve added Video Instructions to your Assignments, you’ll also notice they load automatically for students and are easy to move around the page!

Downloadable Student Video Recordings

You asked, we listened! Whether you need to track student growth or want to share a student’s success with parents, you can now download any student video recording that has been submitted to you via the Student Recording screen.

Access the Assignment Review screen from your GradeBook to view the recording and click the green DOWNLOAD button to download an mp4 of the student’s recording.

Spreadsheet-Style Editing of Student and Class Information

New “Grid Editing” options are now live in the Students and Classes sections of Teacher Admin. Use these tools like a spreadsheet and quickly populate or edit important student data like first and last names and QuaverNames. This will be especially useful if you’re Auto-Generating Accounts and want to update student information!

New Resources for Parent Communication

We’re also excited to offer parent resources for the 2020-21 school year. Visit Help.QuaverEd.com/Parents for easy links to share with parents including Welcome Letters in both English and Spanish!

This update also includes three new lessons.  These lessons appear in our SEL Plus Lesson Bands, which make great supplements to our existing lessons built around the CASEL Core Competencies. They focus on Academic Achievement, Disappointment, and Moods.

They can be found in Lesson 27 in 3rd grade, Lesson 32 in 2nd grade, and Lesson 33 in 5th grade. These new lessons cover the following themes:

  • Improving My School Work

You’ll also find one new addition to your SELMusic library:

  • “Change”
