A Message to the QuaverEd Qmunity

At QuaverEd, we believe strongly in the power of music to transform lives. In light of emerging research, we have taken the time to reevaluate our song collection with best practices for teaching and nurturing children in mind. We are excited to implement changes in our song collection as we present new curricular resources starting this summer.

Our evaluative process included examining our canon under the umbrellas of racist, adult, or culturally insensitive themes. Songs that were determined to have been created to demean a group of people will be removed first from our resources, starting this July. We have vetted each one of these songs and will replace it, when appropriate, with a piece that will help teachers meet the same musical objectives.

Presently, we offer you this list of songs to be removed along with resources currently located in the Quaver library that can be used to address the same concepts. In future releases, you will see newly composed songs in place of these pieces that aim to offer your students a joyful learning experience with your guidance.
